Spinning Update

I love my fast flyer. One of the accessories for my lendrum is a fast flyer and it is really excellent. Look at that beautiful thread like yarn. I am still debating if I want to ply them together normally or navajo ply and keep the stripes. I am leaning more and more to the 2 ply, because it would even out the bright yellow and the pale blue that you can see in the rest of my roving. I just love all the colors that come into play here. This roving is 50% wool and 50% soy silk, it is made by Karaoke, the same people that make the fabulous yarn. It spins really easy, and though it was a bit expensive for it ($15 for 4 oz), I am enjoying the little treat for my self. Both the wheel and the Karaoke I got from Woodland Woolworks.

I also thought that I would mention that I posted these lovely skeins up on ebay. They are probably 2 parts wool to one part silk noil. I mixed them myself on my drum carder and just kinda threw in the different fibers. They are fabulously bumpy and slubby and really soft. I would say that you could make baby clothes quite easily out of them. There is a little under 8 oz there:
