New Colorway! Raven Storm

When I thought about creating this yarn I thought about the joke: What do you call 2 crows sitting together? Attempted Murder..hehe. So I really wanted to call it that, but then my husband saw the yarn and thought it looked like lightning. So I decided to combine the two and call it Raven Storm.

Rainbow Hat

I have a really cute story to share.

Our neighbors went to visit family in Chicago last fall. While they were there they went to see a former neighbor. She presented them with handknit stockings for Christmas. They thought they were so cool that they had to get her a skein of yarn as a thank you. They had their daughter pick out a skein of Superwash Bulky and she chose Mine, Don't Touch! I shipped it out in time for Christmas with a thank you card from them.

They were so surprised when this last week she sent it back to them in the form of a hat for their daughter. She didn't even use a pattern, but made it up as she went along! They offered to take photos so I could share it all with you, so I am! I think it turned out super cute! She didn't take it off at all and said she really loved the hat! What could be better praise than that!

New Colorway! Little Koi

I named it after the koi pond my grandparents had when I was growing up. I loved to watch the little orange fish swimming around in their tranquil pond. It is a beautiful combination that's just a little koi.

Bagels

A couple weeks ago I made bagels with my bread machine. They turned out really good! I plan on making them again. They were really easy too! You can find the recipe I used here: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/bread-machine-bagels/

New Colorway! Bumblebee

I was inspired by the fluffy bumblebees playing in my flower garden last summer. They look soft enough to pet! Now I have a yarn I can pet without worrying about stings!

Christmas Stockings

I finished these just in time for Christmas. The last one blocked the Sunday before. I'm working on the pattern as I get time. When I get it together I'll talk about each one and just how awesome they are. I hope all of you have had a great holiday season and are toughing out the winter weather!

New Colorway! Red Barn with Snow

One of my favorite things about winter is seeing a snow covered red barn surrounded by fir trees. I don't think there is a prettier winter sight.

Happy New Year!

A new year for me means moving to a new studio! I have spent the few weeks before Christmas dyeing like a mad woman! Now I just have to get it all up on the website. This way I am spending my dyeing time doing fun things like packing boxes! When I take a break, I'll add things to the website! Yay! As a little sneak peek, I give you the New! Colorways of 2014!

They are my first priority to get up on the website. My current plan is to pack the shop's inventory at the very last and then unpack it first, so shipping of in stock items should be as smooth as ever. Of course, this means no custom orders until we are settled into our new place. My new studio is going to be amazing! I can't wait to share it with you all!
