First Dye Workshop of the Season

As I mentioned on Monday, I helped organize a dye workshop through Knot Another Hat. Sarah hosted it. Sarah and Destiny made many lovely treats to feed the hungry dyers. Dyeing yarn makes you work up an appetite.

Here is a group of the lovely ladies! There were 9 dyers, then me & Sarah. Which is quite a turn out for the event.

Here is a close up of them dyeing away on their first skeins. I think it went pretty well. Everybody seemed to pick it up really quickly too.

Lastly, this is a picture of Ms. Destiny. It is actually one of my favorites. She had successfully dyed, and is rinsing out her yarn. It turned out to be a delicious purple yarn. I managed to somehow not get a picture of Sarah. She is very stealth these days. Well, and I had borrowed my husband's camera, which promptly ran out of space on the card! To see more pictures, the few that I got on the card, check out my web album!

If anyone out there is going to be in the area this summer and is interested in taking a dye workshop, let me know or let Sarah know. We haven't scheduled times yet for the summer, but they will definitely be on the calendar.

Looks like such fun. We need to find a way for me to come to Oregon for an afternoon cheaply, quickly, and consistently!

Maybe one day soon...

Grr!! Why can't you warn the chubby friend that you are taking a picture! At least then I could smile a bit and take away from the fact that I do not look at all pose worthy.. Grrrr... I have to say I will be dying again.

I live in Portland and would love to come to a dye workshop. Like Mims said, a Sat or Sun would work best for me :)
